love the cut out flower design from the Designer Paper
**Edited 12/2014 - Sale-a-Bration 2014 has ended,
I hope you made time to catch the Stampin' Up! Live Free Class event on Wednesday, there were some great ideas for the spring season! Stampin' Up! presented ideas using the All Wrapped Up Bundle, which is a special bundle for Sale-a-bration (hurry - ends 3/31!!!) but includes items available in our regular catalog.

Tag a Bag Gift Box with Designer Series Paper belly band,
again - loving that cut out design!!
Simple. Easy. Great Presentation.
These bags make gift giving a snap!!

Included in the bundle are three smaller bundles, the Tag A Bag Bundle, the Tag a Box Bundle, and the Tag a Bag Accessory kit. You also get the Oh, Goodie Stamp Set,Gumball Green Classic Stampin’ Pad, Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker,Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon,Crushed Curry 3/4" Chevron Ribbon. Quite a coordinated collection,! It really is perfect for spur of the moment gift giving, or for party favors, class treats, Teacher appreciation, care packages for camp, lunchbox surprises, or take it all the way into the holidays: advent calendars - you get the idea! GREAT to have on hand!!

People were ooh-ing and ahh-ing over this idea, cutting down the Tag a Box gift boxes to create smaller boxes. The box itself comes as a 6.75"x2"x2"(-ish) box, which is great to hold a dozen little cookies, or pack with treats or small gifts... but its Super Cute as a tiny 2 or 3 or 4" box! Little chocolates or jewelry would be adorably presented in these tiny bits of cuteness.

So here is the measuring and cutting instructional video to re-size your boxes, if you want to give it a whirl! The boxes alone are very economical, coming in at $6.95 for 8 food safe boxes with acetate sleeves. Find them and the bags and tags in the Gift Giving section of my online store.

Fun with Photopolymer Stamps

Are you enjoying the new photopolymer stamps in My Paper Pumpkin kits?!? It took Stampin' Up! a while to develop a clear stamp that met their high standards, but once they found photo polymer! Woohoo! Off &  RUNNING!
Clearly Awesome! Enjoy a TON of images for a great price!!

From Stampin' Up! :
"Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.
What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself."

And the sets available are SUPER cute! They were not kidding when they said they would be introducing unique, fun designs with more versatility! Just look at some of the available sets (see the photo flyers on Facebook below or CLICK HERE to see them in my online store):

The Show and Tell Stamp sets 1 and 2 are great for creating backgrounds for your scrapbook layouts, cute gift tags, gift bags, or home decor. They have some cute little accent pieces that will work with many of the traditional stamp sets offered in the catalogs, as well as many of the kits and Designer Series Paper. When you purchase the online class (What?! Online Classes?!? YES!!), you'll learn how quickly and easily you can line up stamped images for precision placement, achieve the right ink coverage, combine images together exactly where you want them, and more! Class features the Show & Tell 1 and 2 Stamp Sets, and includes six lessons (Backgrounds, Building, Layering, Versatility, Gift Giving, and Memory Keeping), step-out photos, instructional videos, and instructions and supply lists for 15 projects!

I will definitely be sharing more about these awesome sets, they are really impressive! I hope you're enjoying them AND your Paper Pumpkin kits!
Happy Crafting!

Glittered Greetings Paper Pumpkin Kit March 2014

Remember last month when I said you should sign up for Paper Pumpkin? LOL If you had listened, and signed up, you would be getting this package o' fun in the mail this week!! If you didn't.... well, read on and see what you're missing - and then GO SIGN UP (click here) so you can get your craft party in a box started!!!
Alrighty then... back to my March Kit!!
Its called Glittered Greetings. Its got lots of gold and shiny envelope inserts, and some sparkly glitterific gold dots to use on the cards. And it has the totally trendy wood-cut accents, four thank yous and four congrats. Perfect cards for having on hand! This kit comes with TWO color spots, so if you keep up on your subscription, you're going to have quite the collection of inks going on. And the accent stamps are SO cute - arrows and chevrons, in perfectly clear photo polymer, so you can get perfect alignment every time!

Glittered Greeting Paper Pumpkin Monthly Kit - March 2014
I linked to the Stampin' Up! video showing how to make these cards HERE (scroll to the bottom), but I wanted to give you a couple tips for my new stampers. (*waving HI!!*)

Aaallllll your stuff! This months box is stuffed!
So, Tip number One:
Photo Polymer stamps.... They're clear all the way through, but there is a RIGHT side and a WRONG Side. When you peel them up off the acetate sheets (keep those, both sides! and the bag they came in! - they'll help keep your stamps clean and you can easily see the designs with the printed design) you will notice the design cut into one side, and a smooth side. The smooth side is going to go onto your block, the cut/rough edge side is the stamp side.
R-r-r-r-r-ruffles have r-r-r-r-ridges. Remember that commercial? Well they have ridges on both sides... Your stamp DOES NOT! ;-) Look for that rough side, that goes in your ink.

Tip number Two:
Clean your stamp. Clean it before you use it, clean it if you put your fingers all over it feeling for the ridges, clean it after you use it! A clean stamp is a happy stamp. Unless you're going for the blotchy, grungy look... then stamp away:
Stamp right off the holder, not cleaned : if you SEE blotches, you will STAMP blotches!!!
After cleaning, nice even inking, clearly able to line up and stamp your arrows.
You can clean your stamp with a baby wipe, if you have not invested in a stamp cleaning pad. If you plan to stamp more than a items, its not a huge investment but it will extend the life and quality of your stamps. Page 165 of your catalog, Stampin' Scrub washable scrub pads #126200, some Stampin' Mist cleaning spray #102394, and, while we are on cleaning, see also page 197 of your catalog for the Clear Block cleaning cloth #121779 and maybe the Clear-mount Guides #121785 you can put on your blocks to get things all straight and perfect. If your photo polymer stamps ever become covered in fuzz or dirt, or seem to lose their stickiness, you can wash them in mild soap and water. Store them between the acetate sheets, in the cello bag they came in, to keep them free from dust and dirt.

Tip number Three:
Those glittery gold sheets are actually your dots! Bend the edge of the sheet and you'll see your nicely pre-cut dots ready to peel and stick onto your card!
Glittahhh babeee!!! Add some sparkle to those cards!

And there you have it, three tips to start your stampin' soiree! Thank you for visiting, thank you for reading my blog, and thank you for signing up for Paper Pumpkin!

Thank You!
You can still get in on this fun Paper Pumpkin thing, its not too late - join any time!
But Sign up before March 31st to get a FREE set of markers!
You can thank me later:

Happy Crafting!

Gift Givers for St Patricks Day

What could be better than sorting candy to make some giftables?!?
Well, NOT sorting them, man that took a long time!! But the treats came out very cute :
There were more Green Apple Skittles in the bag than the other colors, so there were a couple "Lucky" treats! LOL I used the little leprechaun from the retired Stampin' Up! Gift Givers Stamp Set, cut out with the circle punch and then a green cardstock (random extra sheets of unknown origin) punched with the Scallop Circle Punch. I used glue dots to adhere these. Tip: took me a few bags to realize that if you close the bag at the BOTTOM, then your recipient wont need to rip apart your cuteness to get to the treats. D'oh!! :-)

Happy Crafting!

St Patricks Day Lucky Shamrock

Lucky To Have Great People In My Life!
Looking around for a sweet treat to give to the kids teachers and I remembered Brenda Quintana's awesome Hershey's Kiss Holders... she has several darling tutorials on her site, but I thought the shamrock was fitting for St. Patricks Day! She has two versions, the 3-leaf and a 4-leaf clover. To me, St Patricks is all about luck and whats luckier than a four leaf clover?!?

Brenda has a great cut & score tutorial!! Link at the end of this post!
This shows my last 4 stages of assembly
I adjusted Brenda's instructions a little bit for the sake of having a longer "stem" - I was originally going to stamp a message directly onto the stem, but then I concocted the little tag instead. I used a 1" x 11" piece of cardstock, with notches cut at 5.5" and then 2.25" from each end. I like the look of the longer stem, myself. The tag I made uses the Modern Label Punch, and I used two stamps in Gumball Green and Calypso Coral with a Basic Jewel Rhinestone accent. One is the little shamrock from the (very) Retired stamp set So Happy For You Sale-a-bration set (2012); the other is half a stamp LOL from the really very useful set Occasions Alphabet (page 134 of your catalog or item #128688 HERE), its the bottom part of the letter L, I just inked half the stamp.
And yes, I destashed a bit to use up my old Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral sparkle ribbon. I was sad to reach the end of the spool on the green, but such is life! Love it and Use it!!

Thanks for looking,
please check out Brenda's Blog :
for this great tutorial!

Banner Blast CASE Cards

Sometimes you feel the inspiration flowing, swirling around you with a thousand different colors and ideas, excitement racing through your veins as you try to keep up, endless possibilities converging into points of shining brilliance...

And then there are the days you Don't! This weekend, between a sick baby, several projects, and a laundry pile a mile high, my mojo had run for the hills!! But I needed some Birthday Cards!

Banner Blast Birthday Sale-a-bration 2014 Stampin UpThe beautiful thing about card making is that somewhere, SomEOnE is feeling that inspiration!! And, if you just follow their lead you can end up with a pretty decent card, or at least a new way to use a familiar set! There are galleries to look through at different stamping forums, sorted by stamp set or by theme; there are challenges on hundreds of blogs that give you a layout or a theme or a color combination to use; there are any number of talented card makers on Facebook or Twitter or Google or Instagram or .... you get the idea. Inspiration is out there!!

Or, its as close as the catalog on your shelf! Stampin' Up Catalogs are great inspiration!!

These two cards are made with the Banner Blast set from Sale-a-bration. If you look in the Sale-a-Bration brochure they're right there, on page 5, in the samples they show for the Birthday Bash Bundle. So I "CASE"d them. ("Copy And Share Everything")

Banner Blast Sale-a-bration 2014 Stampin UpI loved the layouts. I liked using the Banner Blast set as a banner on one card, and then as just a visual texture accent on the other card. The same stamp set but two different looks!! I do love me a versatile stamp set! The greetings in the samples actually come from the same set, Remembering Your Birthday, but I used the Happy Birthday stamp from Bring on the Cake set on the Calypso Coral card because I'm going to be making these in a Stamp Camp and I do have two sets of the Banner Blast, but only one of the Remembering Your Birthday! Plus, Bring on the Cake is a great set too!!

So there you have it. Inspiration for those uninspiring days when your mojo goes missing! Get stamping, and try a CASE card. You never know what it will inspire you to try next!

Sale-a-bration is only here till the end of the month! Don't miss out on these great gifts with every $50 order! See more HERE: www.MidnightCrafter.StampinUp.net
